I created this animation using burst photos I took in Charleston. I transformed those contact sheets into cyanotype prints and then animated them with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro. My goal was to explore the combination of traditional and digital techniques. I learned these methods from The Sustainable Darkroom, an initiative that aims to change the culture of analogue photographic practice. I used black tea as a contrast enhancer, as the tannic acid in black tea helps produce richer, more saturated blues and improved shadow detail.
